The Designer Behind the Work
Hey, my name's Ellie (but you wouldn't be here if you didn't already know that). I'm a multidisciplinary designer with a BA Hons in Graphic Design and Photography from the University of Chester, and I love turning ideas into something real - whether that's through branding, print design, or bespoke creative projects.

Over the years, I've honed my skills across various disciplines, from crafting memorable brand identities to designing impactful print materials like brochures and adverts. I believe great design is about more than just looking good - it's about solving problems, sparking emotions, and making meaningful connections.
Currently, I work a Marketing Communication Executive, where I develop campaigns that resonate and visuals that leave a lasting impression. Freelance work gives me the freedom to collaborate with trusted clients on projects that challenge me and allow me to explore fresh ideas.
Beyond my formal qualifications, I pride myself on being a lifelong learner, constantly seeking inspiration in the world around me. Whether it's delving into design trends, researching how materials are made, or studying history or science, I bring a thoughtful and informed perspective to every project.
Curiosity: The Heart of My Creativity
Learning has always been a huge part of who I am, and it plays a key role in shaping my work as a designer. I'm endlessly fascinated by how the world works - whether it's uncovering the stories behind ancient Greek myths, delving into the science of colour, or even exploring the seemingly mundane, like how paper is made or why certain design trends persist through decades.
Over the years, I've written essays and notes on many of the topics that insprie me. From the evolution of typography to sustainability in design, these explorations have not only helped me grow as a designer but also as a thinker. If you're curious, feel free to have a browse at the essays I've put together - they cover everything from big-picture ideas to the nitty-gritty details that catch my attention.
For me, learning is more than just curiosity; it's about discovery, growth, and finding connections between seemingly unrelated things. By understanding history, science, storytelling, and psychology, I'm able to bring fresh perspectives and deeper meaning to the work I create. It's one thing to design a brochure or craft a brand identity, but it's another to weave in a sense of purpose and context that makes those designs resonate on a whole new level.
I truly believe that being a lifelong learner helps me approach every project with fresh eyes. Whether I'm diving into the psychology of branding, studying the environmental impact of materials, or simply satisfying my curiosity about how something works, every new peice of knowledge becomes a building block for creativity.
